Handmade laptop/sketchbook bag.

I made this a couple of months ago for carrying my laptop around in when I'm out and about, but have recently found it's great for carrying my A3 sketchbooks to college and back as well! Anyway, after another boring snow day, I decided to blog about it.
Apologies for the pants photos, I need a new camera more than anything, and hopefully Christmas will bring a new one into my life!
So yes, there's 4 different layers of fabric, the lace front fabric, a thick charcoal grey fabric, a wadding material to protect my laptop a little if I dropped it and a silk charcoal grey lining fabric. I made the tote bag shape using the length and width of my laptop, and adding a little extra to the height, which is easy enough as it's just a rectangle shape.
I also used a polkadot ribbon around the top of the bag and over the top of the bag strap handle ends, which I made using curtain ropes, which are a lot nicer than the flimsy ones you normally have on tote bags I reckon!
It's an easy enough pattern but I'm quite pleased with how it looks and it doesn't rip my shoulders like some of my other bags. I think it looks better in real life and these photos don't do it justice anyway, hope you like it!
